film ideas 2
the moment where the bad guy tells the good guy the bit he wished he knew before.
the camera slides around the image of the bad guy with gun pointed at good guy to show the bad guy from the side with arm outsretched with gun.he is talking to the good guy, allmost taunting him. moves down to show good guy from side, looking more than a little scared. camera pans closer and begins to pan around to back of good guys head and closes in on it filing the screen with darkness gradually as the bad guy tells him the thing he wished he knew before, bad guy gets as far as saying "this is where im supposed to stop trying to shoot you and spend time explaining my evil plan to give you some time to foil my evil plan to take over the world..but this isn't a film." we hear the sound of a trigger being cocked, screen is totally faded to black by now, and we hear a shot being fired.
go to credits, hve these roll out prematurely and cross into opening credits. which merges into scene in phone box
opening scene after credits:
phone box in rain.
we see the phone box to the right hand side of the picture with the reast of the screen showing the empty dark road being pounded by the heavy rain. the camera moves in towards the phone box, always keeping the phone box on the right of the picture. camera begins to zoom in towards phone box, until phone box occupies half of screen. the camera is at ground level, so by the time the phone box fills halff the screen the top half of the phone box will probably be out of view, the camera begins to pan upwards and anti clockwise around it, showing more and more of the person inside the honebox and the higher it pans up, the more it pans around we can see that there is a man in the phonebox, becoming more and more agistated the more the calls continues, the camera stops climbing and circling the box when it reaches the left side of his head, which fills most of the screen, we can see the reciever held against his head, and can see his lips moving, and him getting really agitated. we cannot hear anything/most of the things he is saying, as the sound of rain and thunder drown it out.he loses control and moves the reciever away from his ear, and smashes it against the wall of the phone box. the camera changes to show phone box from a little distance away at an angle where we can see the character wholly smashin the phone inside the box to pieces. we can hear the noises of the phone being smashed. after a few seconds the main character exits the phone box, the door swing shut behind him. the rain beats upon his head and face heavily. his clothes begin to get wetter and wetter. his head drops to look at floor, but his stature stays strong. he reaches into his poket and takes out a mobile phone, he looks up a number in his phone book labelled HELP. he presses the green dial button. the rain is splashin al over the face of the phone durinig this and we can see speckles of raing upon the screen shining the led's through them to create a nice illuminated effect in the darkened surroundings. tmc puts the reciever to his ear. we hear the noise of a phone ringin in his ear piece, tinny and high treble, ringing of a phone at the other end, after a few rings we hear a click as the call is connected and a voice answers "hello?", sounds a little confused.
tmc says "where were you?". the voice on the line says "when?". tmc: "bring me a gun". voice: "ok" tmc hangs up call. puts phone back in pocket and looks up towards sky with rain beating down on his face again. he closes his eyes.camera pans towards character the character lowers his head to be facing the camera, his eyes open and camer apans into right eye of tmc, as picture fades into balck which pans back into light as the eye of a bird, as it flies over a cityscape, a tune that sounds like freedom plays, it is uplifting. camera flies over office blocks, shops, flats, streets, cars and gradually comes down toward street level, ending in the suburbs. camera comes to rest at feet of character stood on edge of pavement, the uplitin music changes into the sounds of the sea gradually.
camera moves out to show entire peerson. close in on smiling face background changes to that of a tropical island character sits down on beach and lays back with hands behind head to sunbathe. an eplosion nearby his hands behind his head still he uses his arms to cover his face from flying debris, still laid on his back. camera moves back out to show scenario has changed to the middle of a war scene. he jumps to his feet a gets under some form of cover.
he loads his weapon, we seee him close his eyes as if to wish himself away from this nightmare.
voice is heard in darkness
is main characters friend, saying something about him not being there altogether.
we see main character stood on egde of pavement, not moved from where we see him at the beginning.
his friend has pulled up in front of him in car, and wakes him from the day dream.
main character looks a little out of it/in thought for a few seconds more
then realising he is daydreaming, he snaps back to reality and gets in car with friend.
car pulls up in a main street outside a cafe/diner type place. they get out and go in
they order two breakfasts and sit at the window seat. they are talking about something to do with main characters girlfriend and what kind of state he is and is there anything the friend can do, etc. but the whole time of this voices are in clear focus, and the image of them is blurred slighty as the camera focuses on what is happening outside the window.
it could either be a mugging/shooting, or showing the break up of two ppl, showin the girl leaving an the man holdin his head in his hands.
camera moves past blurred images of the two friends, focusing him in. camera moves outwards showing that the man with his head in his hands is the scene in a film on the televsion. the camera show from opposite direction. we see main character in an armchair, in a darkened room, with a television light flickering over objects in room. main character is only person in this room. we see him with tears in his eyes, fixated with images on screen. his face is fitted to screen size, so we can see him crying, but wihth head held straight. camera moves back out to show him stood in front of his girlfriend, she is telling him how frustrated she is, theyre having an argument habout how one sided things are at the moment, etc etc. main character seems lost in thought while tryin to process what she is sayiing to him. her voice blurred into muffles, then into a conitinuous tone which begins to queiten and echo like empty thoughts in your mind. which fade and fade into silence. on screen we see the main character snap into life again as if broken his daydream, and tells her that they both need to be away from each other before they cause each other to kill themselves. he is trying to hold back tears, bnut they begin to trickle down his face. the camera follows one of the teardrops to the ground where it splashes. more and more begin to hit the ground at a faster rate,
rain pattering changes to sound of a trancey tune, building slowly up to a crechendo. the background of the street changes into blackness as well see the tear/raindrops continue fallin in the dark which arelit by a strobe lighting effect which, as music fade into uplifting trancey tune, the clours of the lighting within the strobing change, and the light flash in time with the music. the raindrops begin to not be seen as every few frames we see the movement of feet/ shapes of people after a few frames of which we see the riandrops for a few mroe frames. this continues as the sounds of the rain and the sounds of the music sound ones and the same and the rindorop noise is no longer audible. theis then changes to the flashing lights of a nightclub flash intermittently to show images of a crowd in a darkneded room splashed in the colours of the spot lights which are flashing different colours, ther is a slight fog on the floor. we can see the ouside wall of the room, it is too dark between flashes. we can see the feet of people dancing the after a couple of flashes this changes to a differnce view fgrom the side of more people dancing there movements seem jerky as they dance to the tune as the lights flash to the beat creating a strobe effect occasionally. camera moves through crowd of peopl to show tmc sat at a table with a drink. the crowd reaches creshendo with the tune, movement becomes boucier and mor3e strobed throughout this. the main character gets out of his chair as the creshendo hits the reprieve, the sounds calms, teh peoples dancing calms ready for the re-build of the creshendo. tmc walks through a crowd of people, we see him through the build up go into his pocket a retrieve g handgun. the creshendo is building still, more and more quickly. we see tmc hold the gun at arms length, to a mans head, who stands about 6 inches from the end of his gun. the the music reaches the creshendo, the strobes kick back in and we see in strobed effects tmc pul the trigger and the shot get fired. we see the man he has shot fly backwards to the gound from a side on view. he is laid on the floor. the strobes still flashing. tmc is stodd in the same position still with his arm outstrectched.the music still plays chagin back into the build up to the tune again, the crowd realise what is happening. the strobes are still flashing, as a girl runs over to the man, we see her over the body. it is tmc's ex girlfriend. the mans eyes are still open although he is clearly dead. she looks up at tmc still with his arm outstretched. she looks at him in disbelief and a great deal of fear. he looks at here and closes his eyes as he drops the gun by his side. his eyes open and we see him sat at the table again with the song building up to creshendo exatcly where the scen started. he puts his arm inside his top/shirt/trouser/wherever to get gun out. we realise he doesnt have one where we just saw him pull one from. he sighs. fade picture out as camera pans outwards from him back into the view of the seething crowd, music fades as picture does.
until camera pans out to show scene as a rainy dark street, thuder rolls. the rain is falling heavily, making thumping noises on parked cars and bustbins. a cat runs accross the street, as a car pulls up alongside the kerb. the lights are left on, but the engine stopped. tmc gets out shutting the car door behind him. he goes into the same phonebox we saw get smashed up in opening sequence. he picks up reciever and makes a call. insteda of gettin wound up and destroying the phonebox, we see him break down from being stern to crying heavily, slouching up against the wall of the w=box with the phone attached , he begins to cry so heavily that he drops the reciever, which swings dangling from the phonebox. we see the image of the main character slouched in phonebox crying as car lights shine through from opposite side of box, through the windpows sillhouetting him inside the phonebox. fade out picture to the sound of rain pattering.
the noise of the rain fades/merges/whatever into the noise of a radio being tuned, the tunestops on a station playng a sad song. we cannot see anything but we hear the noises of a cafe, people chatting inherently in the background, the noise of tea/coffe cups being clinked and supped from, generall eating noise, but the radio is audible above everything else which are merely background noise almost as tune continues. we hear a few foot steps which sound as if they are coming closer to the positiona dn volume of the radio. the floor of the coffeshop is hard. the foosteps stop. the tune continues to play for a few seconds until we hear tmc grab the radio and smash it up. noise dies down. picture changfes to next scene
we see the face of someone we havent seen before. he is a psychiatrist. he is sat at his desk. tmc is on the oppsite side sat facing the psychiatrist. the room is quite dimly lite, almost seedily lit like a dodgy PI in an old detective film. the psy has a lamp on his desk which lights up enugh of the office to see the shadows of things on his desk in the nearby walls. the glow of the lamp is not too warm and orangey, but it is not blue and clodly lit. its almost an indifferent lighting atmosphere, but the dimly litedness of the office make the scene look almost a little creepy. it is almost night ouside, and the sunset is a reddy orange, we can see some of this through the slits in the blinds which casts sahdows onto the psy's desk. it is too dim though to sbe too bright to look behind the psy, and the blinds are drawn. the psy is talking to tmc, asking him questions about how he feels and wht he thinks are causing these problems. and who to turn to when u need help, etc etc. it is quite clear that tmc isnt payn much attention to him. we hear the noise of the psy's office door open and slam shut, but the psy carries on as if noone has entered the room. tmc looks around to see noone has come into the office. he looks slightly confused, and turns back towards the psy. tmc is shocked to see a man stood beside the psy. he looks scary. u cannot see his face too well as it is shadowed. the man wears a black suit, with a white shirt and black tie. he is dressed smartly. his hair is gelled in some way, although he does not have long hair, it is very straight hair. the shadows over his face hide most of his features but we can see his eyes glairing at tmc. tmc looks frightened, and the psy carries on as if there is noone there. tmc looks a little more worried when the shady character drops a bag on the table. it lands with a thump, and shakes some of the psy's pencils over in a pencil holder. the psy carries on as if nothin has happened. tmc quickly gets up and picks the pencil up and put them back where they were. the shady character slowly unzips the bag. the psy still carries on regardless as if he hasnt noticed the third person yet. the shady caharacter pull out a large knife from the bag, and holds it up, inspecting it. he holds it up to the psy, as if inspecting whether he should use it or not. the psy still carries on. tmc is looking a little anoyed with the psy who hasnt noticed what is going on. the shady character has decided against the knife, and takes out some sort of other sharp weapon. he does the same again. we hear the sahdy character cackle amost, its a echoey laugh, and is quite chilling. the shady character decided against the new weapon and grabs a gun out of the bag, he cocks the weapon, and does a quick ispection. he adds a silencer. he points it at the back of the psy's head. tmc look on in disbelief. jus as shady character is about to pull trigger, tmc jumps up, pullin gout gun and fires one shot straight into psy's head. tyhe psy falls back into his chari, blood dribbling down his face. the shady character laughs. a couple more shots are heard as tmc shoots the shady character. he laughs loudly. we see tmc look scared, as we hear the door open from behind him. he looks round quickly to find the psy walking in. tmc looks confused and scared, the spinds round to look at shady charcater, who is no longer there. the room seem ssomewhat lighter in tone all of a sudden. the psy stis down and begins to speak in a totally different tone of voice with him, to which tmc replies better and seems moer lifelike again
the train station.
tmc arrives at a station, all the information signs are blank. everyone is faceless. it is busy as tmc steps off the train, and ontop the platform. there are headlinesless newspapers stacked at a little paper stand on the platofrm. everywhere he looks the signs are blank. we see the traing behind him that he has stepped off. we see it from the back, the train has a number, but no destination stated on the sign. the scene is quite dull, dominated by duller coloured clothed people, wearing greys, dull dreys, black, dark green/browns. it almost like a sea of peopleit seems that busy. each person tmc looks at is faceless. it is a sea of nobodies, and strangers. he looks around, somewhat disconcerted. the sea of people begins to split down the middle, at the opposite end of the platform, we see a brighter dresses girl. we can see her from distance, as the line she walks in towards tmc is brightly lit, much more brightly than the rest of the stationor the people in it. she walks closer and closer. as she gets closer, she stops about a foot away from him, and he looks at her for a few seconds. she smiles at him. she is beautiful. he is knocked backwards and onto the ground. he is knocked out.
the psychiatrist again
improvements to situation. this could be a follow on from previous psy scene or could be set to be at a later date, and have characters wearing different clothes, etc.
things start to go wrong.
ex girlfriend does something?
tmc has problems with shady cahrcter/ someone else? but what about?
the new girl is having some sort of problems with shady character.
the red phone box again.
not angry, not sad.
he has made a call to some sort of advice line.
he begins to laugh hyseterically as he hears the call progress.
he ends the scene leaving the phonebox, still laughing. we see him look alive.
we still dont know what was said on the call, we can hear his car engine humming as the camera is showing the phone box from the angle of his drivers door as the car is prked along side the phonebox, the same as before. the sun is shining this time, the roads and grunds are dry. we can hear the main character laugh, but not the voice on the other end of the phone.
the deja vu sequence, where choices are presented has to be done at an important juncture, over a phone call tmc recieves to his mobile wher he begins to see into the future and the options he is about to be given appear before him before they are offered. he becomes more an d more scared the long the conversation goes, as he can see more an dmore options for him to go to. the options appear as ghostly almost hologrphrahics of himself are in different places around the room all making a different move to the solution. he gasps as he sees himself subconsciously move a place in the line closer to the solution, before he says what he is going to do he feels himself moving along this "time-line". he stops himself from moving as he sees the final two routes ahed of him. one is the rocky path, the other is a shortcut. he see that he can avoid the pain somehwat if he uses the shortcut. we see the converstaion freee as he decides which way to move. listen to the mp3 of how i explain it to understand what i mean here. tmc knows here that the two options are: 1) he goes and picks up a knife to hurt himself, 2) deicides to shut her out of his life and make a new start. he chooses to think for himself and chooses 2. we see the ghostly images of him disappear as he makes his choice. he hangs up the call as the last option is fading from view.
i need a car chase.
i need a fight scene without weapons
the random scene from a movie shown in the background on a television somewhere near the middle of the film while something else is happening in the foreground that we can ignore or take note of. make it so the film needs to be watched twice to get this scene. the forground dialgoue has to be important, but the scene of te film on the televsion has to also say something important. althought not necessarilty to do with a section of the film we are wriring. it can state views on s certain subject or can explain the feeling of seomthing or other to almost the same volume as the foreground iis happening. if ya get mi.

what happens between the two of them?
what does she do?
what does he do?
what happens that brings them together?
the important bits
where tmc realises his whole struggle is against the shady cahracter which is only his darker mind. but this is never explained. has to figure a way to destroy him.
what has he done to deserve to die?
and if he is the darker side of tmc's mind, then how do you destroy something you created?
what happens to girl that leads him to the sahdy one and the final battle?
does she even need to be involved in this bit of the plot?
what leads tmc to the shady one for the final battle, what pusehes tmc too far.
argh!
tmc has to rescue himself and the new girl for the story to work out a happy ending, but he dies to save her life. or does he?
the bit where the bad guy tells the good guy the bit he wished he knew before.
cuts straight to end credits before we hear the shot being fired, but after he has said the bit you wished you knew before again.
film has to have odd number of scenes, and make half good, half bad, and the extra scene is the beginning onne played at the end, so bad is one scene ahead, which means the next scene in the audiences head is the good one.
this can be seen somewhere in the film, ideally as an advertsement poster / on stuck framed soewhere in a room in one of the scenes.

tmc can be someone who wants to be seen as being not only wise, but loving and whatever else. his target is to become the sage for his friends, someone they can love3 and trust back. but we aint gonna say that to them. they can figure that out themselves. :0)
has to be a scene at tmcs workplace where his boss is really pissing him off and ends up getting shot in the face from tmc who quielty sits at his desk and after calmly shooting him, gets up and walks out. dont know whether for this to be a daydream or actually happen.
life is a trial. death is the sentence. make of it what you will. but you might as well enjoy the trial while it lasts, because the trial isnt as long as the sentence.
a bit of direction might fucken help me here, im just writing a bunch of stuff as i think it but its not really contributing to finding the exact story line i need to begin wirintg this poroperly! :-s
